The Tatties comprises numerous talented individuals from a variety of musical backgrounds, each with their own musical interests helping to create the distinctive Tatties sound.

Central to this is the direction provided from Graham McArthur, founder of The Tatties and Lead Accordionist and Caller, whose focus lies in modernising traditional ceilidh music.

    Born and raised with Scottish and Gaelic Music in his blood from a family in South Uist, Western Isles, Graham’s passion for modernising traditional ceilidh music provides the driving force behind the bands unique combination of style and sound.

    Craig has been part of The Tatties from the very beginning. His involvement with The Tatties helps to balance the gap between traditional and modern ceilidh, as well as being the driving force behind development of the “cover” band.

    Drums & Vocals


    Jamie’s talents and experience within all varieties of music contribute towards his truly unique style and enthusiasm. Jamie performs all across the UK and across the world performing with artists such as Ray Harris and The Acutones.

    Ian’s passion and creativity for music has seen him perform with various artists across the UK, including the Red Hot Chilli Pipers. As a teacher, writer and producer his determination and drive shines through in his performance.

    Bass Guitar


    Marcus is the newest addition to the bands line-up. Fresh from the Orkney Islands, his passion for Blues, Soul and Funk music adds another musical dimension to both the Ceilidh and Covers Set. His Background in traditional music has also seen him perform with The Chair, as well as being the current Bass Player for Bags of Rock, touring all over the UK.
